He was asked,
“Why are you running for office?” It hurts my
heart to see children in our community panhandling for money. I
see a new homeless person near the stop light on 55′ almost
every other day. Trash is polluting our neighborhoods, parks,
lots, and expressways. I would love to be in a position where I
could provide services to people in our community and provide
them with resources and opportunities that they can count on.
Mr. Hughes was asked, “What will you do if elected Alderman
of the Third Ward?” I am a serviceman, and I would
immediately look to service the people with a community
solutions center geared toward assisting people with
employment, resources, opportunities and counseling. We need
healing, relief, and guidance, because times have become so
difficult that we’ve normalized the mentality of surviving when
we could be doing better. I am prepared to lend a helping hand
in promoting the wellness of Third Ward residents. I would like
to install a investing series with workshops focused on
entrepreneurship, financial literacy, investing and real estate.
would promote generational wealth creation for traditionally
underserved communities like ours.
