Isn’t it true!!!!!!!!!! ?

Isn’t it true that black people are less advantaged than their white counterpart race? The other day I heard a man say one man told him all people are just the same to him and he treats them alike. The narrator said he disagreed. He told the man that white people and black people are not the same, and he should acknowledge that. They are different because the others have an advantage over others so they have life differently. This might sound a bit of a racial statement, but in actual fact it means to lay on the table the realization that there are certain pains that black people go through as a result of the unfortunate circumstances life can throw at them. These are pains that may not be spoken of, such as domestic violence and abuse on men by their woman. For instance rape, men may not open up about sexual abuse or boys about molestation, and they just give up on life henceforth. These pains however turn into sickness.

The other day I wrote “Baby, people are sick. They are sickened by the food they eat. They are sickened by stress. They are sickened by poverty. All of such, the devil can be found in them.” They (the patients) then turn to just about anything that may numb the pain, a ‘narcotic’ to rescue them from the bitter feelings of heartache. For some it may be drugs and substance, for others it could be church! Others may give in to certain sports such as soccer. Just anything that can make them forget, atleast for some time. Some ‘narcotics’ are helpful while others simply cause further destruction. Let the individual choose. This is the inner city style of coping.

In the inner city, there has to be a governance. This is the leadership from which all descendents learn. What the leadership teaches becomes customary and common practice to all. Sometimes the leadership has it well figured out, while sometimes it may get it all wrong. It is a relief that even in the inner city, which is the root from every ideology and system mushrooms, there are mothers to ensure proper grounding of their dear children. The grandmothers that stand for what they believe in despite the continuous erosion of good morality.

Where are our mummies and grannies and aunties and godmothers in the community? What has happened to their soft but firm voice? We need to advocate actively woman empowerment and participation in the social affairs of their communities (the inner city). They too can attain influential positions. Understanding that disempowerment of the elderly woman in the inner city is hindrance from passed down knowledge, wisdom and understanding for the children of the inner city. As for gender-based abuse and violence, child traumas of finding themselves being mothered and fathered by one person, and prejudice over race, we should be past that by now. So now then let education be considered an important thing to pursue as an attempt of self-development. Let the inner city people delve into purpose discovery and living in it, which will benefit the black community, marriages, and every facet of life.

Let the inner city have an inner vision. What they wish we become tomorrow which the now seems to contest against should be planned for and taken action for. Let individual inner beings be reassessed- goals, motives, visions. The inner city comprises individuals active in all scopes of life. It is therefore important to have them make their inner beings over and not just focus on the outer.
