What I See

I’m bound by my dreams
All I hear are silent screams
The voices in my head
Tell me to let go instead
I forgot that I’m a descendent of royalty
Yet I scribe this thing called poetry
From ages of time the words we speak
Have substance from what we seek
As the wine is poured into and empty glass
The fermented grapes aged while time just pass
An empty glass is waiting to be poured into
Fill my cup so it runs over to
Close my unbeliefs
Show me my true beliefs
I know the melanin of my skin
Sits and wonders when
When will he or she just open their eyes
And drink from the royalty fountain even when rain drops from the skies
The concrete soaks up every drop
Now just stop
Stop your slandering
Stop your senseless killing
Go forth and show the world your beauty
Cause when I see you I see royalty

From the mind of Poetic
