why isn’t this modeling thing taking off for me the way that I thought that it would?

New model: why isn’t this modeling thing taking off for me the way that I thought that it would?

Me: you have to show up for your photo shoots, fashion shows, and other things you agree to be a part of. We are all connected and in some way we all know each other. Not showing up for your commitment no matter how small you think it might be…could possibly burn a bridge for a later bigger opportunity.

Could you imagine if as a photographer, I only showed up to 50% of my photo shoots because:

1. I forgot I had to go to work

2. I went out the night before and got wasted.

3. My ride flaked (consistently) at the last minute.

4. “Something came up”.

None of you would take me seriously.

Professionalism does not just fall as the responsibility of the photographer. As the client who is trying to accomplish something, your professionalism dictates if you will succeed or not.
